Swanson Gibson Jr. was born in Nassau, Bahamas. His passion for sports was cultivated at an early age, beginning organized sports at the age of five. Gibson’s storytelling ability and love for sports were catalysts for him to choose a career in sports journalism.

In 2023, Gibson began his career at the ZNS News Network, the Bahamas’ senior broadcasting corporation. He interned at the network for three summers as a sports reporter and anchor, gaining the attention of a national audience. The young journalist gained practical skills in television and radio broadcasting.

During his time at Lynn University, Gibson served as a news anchor, producer, and the sports director of iPulse News - Lynn University’s award-winning television broadcast and print publication.
